With wonderful energy and tense thrills, Particle Fever is an exciting tale of the largest scientific experiment in human history, the launch of the Large Hadron Collider. Follow six brilliant scientists during the launch of the collider, and witness a significant and inspiring scientific breakthrough as it happens.

Introduction and Q&A with Anna Goussiou, University of Washington Physics Professor | Director Mark Levinson’s Particle Fever gives audiences a front row seat to  the discovery of the long-predicted but elusive Higgs boson, aka “the God particle.”

Our guest is University of Washington professor Anna Goussiou, whose research over the past fourteen years has been focused on the search for the Higgs boson(s), both in the Standard Model (SM) and within the framework of Supersymmetry and other extensions of the SM. She is also a part of the University of Washington team of physicists who work on the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider.
